FAQs

Do I need a referral?

1

No. You can schedule directly with Lexington Wellness & Weight Loss.

Do you accept insurance?

2

We are a cash-pay practice and do not bill insurance. Some outside prescriptions or laboratory services may be eligible for insurance coverage depending on your plan.

How do I book an appointment?

3

Appointments can be scheduled online through our booking page, or you can call or text our office during business hours.

Do you prescribe semaglutide and tirzepatide?

4

Yes. We offer medical weight-loss treatment with semaglutide and tirzepatide when clinically appropriate, along with oral weight-loss options.

Do you prescribe brand-name medications such as Wegovy® or Zepbound®?

5

Yes. When appropriate, we can prescribe FDA-approved brand-name medications to an outside pharmacy or eligible manufacturer-direct program. Medication cost is separate from LWW medical-management fees.

Do you offer maintenance or lower-dose plans?

6

Yes. We offer lower-dose programs for select patients and individualized maintenance options for established patients who have reached goal weight.

Can I receive my injection in the office?

7

Yes. Weekly injections may be administered in our Lexington office for patients who prefer in-office administration.

Do you treat low testosterone for both men and women?

8

Yes. We offer testosterone therapy for both men and women after individualized evaluation and when clinically appropriate.

Are labs required?

9

]Appropriate laboratory testing is part of the evaluation and ongoing monitoring process. We can review labs from your primary care provider or order new labs when needed.

Why am I charged monthly if my medication lasts longer than one month?

10

Lexington Wellness & Weight Loss operates on a monthly membership model. Membership fees cover ongoing medical management, prescribing, monitoring, clinical support, and continued participation in the program. Pharmacy vial sizes, dosing, and beyond-use dates may occasionally result in medication lasting longer than one billing cycle.

Can I pause my membership if I still have medication left?

11

Membership billing is not based on receiving exactly a 30-day supply of medication. If you are accumulating more medication than expected, please contact us so your treatment plan and next prescription can be reviewed. Medication vials are often good for 60-90 days.

How can I reach the office?

12

You may call or text (859) 629-0484 during business hours, send a message through our Contact page, or reach us through our wellness app (Bodysite).

When are you in the office?

13

Office visits are available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Calls and texts are monitored Monday through Friday.
