Brand-Name GLP-1 Weight Loss Prescription Management
For patients who prefer FDA-approved brand-name GLP-1 medications, Lexington Wellness & Weight Loss offers medical evaluation, prescribing, and ongoing management. When appropriate, prescriptions may be sent to your pharmacy or an eligible manufacturer-direct program. Medication cost is separate from the medical management program
How the Program Works:
Medical Evaluation
We review your health history, current medications, weight-loss goals, previous GLP-1 use, and any relevant lab work to determine whether treatment may be appropriate
Prescription Management
When medically appropriate, we can prescribe FDA-approved weight-loss medications such as Wegovy® or Zepbound® and send the prescription to an eligible pharmacy or direct-to-patient program

Medication Cost & Coverage
Our $49 monthly Wellness membership covers ongoing medical management, including follow-up, prescription refills, dose adjustments, and monitoring. Medication is purchased separatley through the pharmacy or manufacturer program. We do not complete insurance prior authorizations but several cash-pay and manufacturer-direct options are available without using insurance.
Brand-name GLP-1 medications are FDA-approved products manufactured under standardized dosing and formulation requirements. Compounded medications are prepared by licensed compounding pharmacies and may be considered in certain situations when clinically appropriate and legally available. Your treatment recommendations will depend on your individual circumstances and current medication availability.

Do you prescribe Zepbound and Wegovy:

Yes when medically appropriate, our nurse practitioners can prescribe brand-name medications including Wegovy® or Zepbound® as part of our weight-loss management program.
Can you send my prescription to LillyDirect or another direct pharmacy program?

Yes. Prescriptions can be sent to LillyDirect or other eligible pharmacies and direct-to-patient programs based on medication choice, availability, and patient preference.
Does the $49 monhtly membership include the cost of medication?

No. The $49 monthly membership fee covers medical management including follow-upl refill management, dose adjustements, and ongoing support. The cost of medication is paid separately to the pharmacy or manufacturer program.
Can you help with insurance prior authorizations or what if my insurance does not cover a GLP-a

We do not currently complete insurance prior authorizations. However we offer several treatment pathways that do not require insurance, including manufacturer direct and cash-pay options. Insurance coverage is not required to work with our clinic. We can review available cash-pay, manufacturer-direct, and other self-pay options and help you choose an approach that fits your goals and budget.
